Service Description: This layer shows the County and State Boundary of the State of Maryland for use in a base Map Service Layer. Statewide County Political Boundaries prepared by the Maryland State Highway way Administration 2012. This is a generalized State of Maryland Boundary file. It was developed by the MD State Highway Administration as a layer for the production of GIS-based small-scale maps and GIS analysis. The boundary file was created from Maryland State Highway Administration's 1:100,000 scale County Maps. Boundary lines in this file should not be used for any legal boundary dispute.
