Service Description: Features were created by georeferencing existing deep mine maps and then digitizing the perimeter. Details general location of underground coal mines in Maryland. Coal mining has only occurred in the two westernmost counties in Maryland (Allegany and Garrett). Each mine perimeter is from the latest existing mine map.
