description:

This dataset represents the ‘nested’ Tier II catchments, or watersheds located within the State of Maryland. Oftentimes multiple designated Tier II streams (with their own individual watersheds) occur within a common, larger watershed. Nested catchments are those watersheds whose surface areas drain to the most downstream Tier II stream segment in a collective watershed area. Based on data collected between 1995-2015, this dataset currently contains information for 139 Tier II catchments. Contact: Angel D.
